PXIe-4139 SMU generate transient voltage supply

Hello!

I would like to generate voltage spikes with the 4139 SMU. What is the maximum possible bandwith that can be reached? For example what is the highest slew rate for a PWM voltage signal. Thanks!

Unfortunately, the specification does not guarantee the slew rate; though you may be able to generate transients, it may not be easily replicable across different cards.

4139 does support pulsing, but again, there is no guaranteed or controllable slew rate as it would widely vary by external load.

Thank you! For this a possible solution is the connect a function generator to an analog amplifier. Do you know if NI has an instrument solution for this? A power amplifier or a high speed AC power supply? Thanks!

The only available instrumentation from NI is the function generator.
