Pcie interface

hi......

 i am very new to Labview and Pcie Protocol . i hav one Gui in labview which has to be interfaced to a board ....using Pcie interface.

From where should i start to complete the task .....

Pls guide me if you can....

You have not provided nearly enough information. To start with, who makes the board and what is the model number? Typically, you would get a driver from the vendor so that would be the four east place you should go.

How can you create a gui before you know anything about the device?

in continuation of our previous discussion...

The interface between RC simulator card and host PC is PCIe.

At present we are using UART protocol to transmit & receive data in the LVDS interface.

For PCIe driver,  using generic PCI serial driver provided in the Linux source code.

We have modified the 8250_pci.c [drivers/tty/serial/8250] driver code for Xilinx
PCIe controller.

 

THe attached image  shows the Software architecture for RC simulator card.

  sir this information has been furnished by the vendor...what next...

Not very much to go on. It mentions an rs-232 interface to the card. If you can get the computer to recognize the card as multiple serial ports, then you should be able to use it. That is not a LabVIEW question. I'm not familiar enough with Linux to know how to setup drivers on it.

It's not like what? The vendor provided the wrong information? You provided the wrong information? What is iwave? What can't you provide more than s sentence or two at a time? Perhaps this whole thread should be abandoned so that you can start a new one in your native language.
