I have to admit, the advanced Plotting Toolkit's filled contour plot does render a gorgeous 2d Kernel Density Estimate with this forums post xyz data

and as the ADV Toolkit does create a Labview Picture, we can do all the post-processing like applying a mask (In the shape of London) or drawing windspeed-circles
