Although the example provided here ( TopLevel MOD.vi ) works perfectly.
Unfortunately when I applied that in my real application it failed to work.
I've been very carefull to check the properties of the project but to with no luck.
What I've done instead is in orer not to build the path I used a Static VI reference node.
This work the same in the Development System and the Runtime system.
... I do not understand why this still fails to work for me in my real world app ... but ... I have to move on.
Thank you all for the help and input.

Interesting, I couldn't get that to work on LV7.0. Maybe that functionallity is not available on it. 😞 Could you provide a pic?
Thanks.

That's because LV 7 does not use the same file structure as 8.x, or even 8.5+, as I mentioned.

Sorry, wasn't referring to the file hierarchy. I was refering to the static vi node.
