Publishing a VI through Linux doesn't work

Hello dear LabVIEW community,

I am using Labview 8.5 on a Centos Linux installation and have been trying to publish the MainGUI.vi to access it from Windows XP system but I encountered some problems.

First one is that Mozilla Firefox doesn't want to "talk" to the LV RTE 8.5.1 even though it is installed in the LInux system. I would like this to work to verify the published VI locally in the Linux system. It keeps saying that the plugin is missing.

Second one is that the published VI is placed on a webadress that is local (http://192.168.122.1:8000/MainGUI.html). Therefore I cant access it from another computer in the company domain. Is it possible to change it to something like http://172.23.1.12:8000/MainGUI.html or http://sestec212.company.com:8000/MainGUI.html? The two adresses are compatibe off course. Unfortunately I am not so good with Linux.

I hope then that having  LV RTE 8.5 for Windows in the Windows Client PC  AND  LV 8.5.1 RTE for Linux in the Linux Server is possible and that the communication through the webbpage will work?

Thanks in advance.
