Hello everyone. My weight gauge has a analog 10V output, and my DAQ has the same value as input. But the problem is, that the weight gauge has a RJ45 output, and my DAQ has a BNC input. How can i connect it together with the pins of RJ45. I have uploaded a picture of the projekt..
Thanks in advance

Yes.. The only useful pins from the RJ45 is TX+ (orange/white) TX- (orange) and RX+ (green/white) and RX- (Green). But i actually dont know, which of those pins i have to connect with the BNC input from the DAQ

The only information i have about the gauge is that the output is 10V analog. There are no more description. The modes of the gauge is Precisa XB 4200C. The output 8 pins.

Here is the only accessories list i found about the gauge.

Well, from the same manual that you appear to have got that list of accessories from, it gives the pinout of the RJ45 (on page 54 of the manual for XB series balances)
So, pins 4 and 5 give output of 9 - 16V. Have you tried measuring this voltage with a voltmeter.
The other pins seem to be for RS232.

Thanks for the answer Sebster. I tried to measure the voltage with a voltmeter, but it says 24V, and doesnt really change, when i put some weights on the gauge :S. I measured pin4 (blue) and pin5 (blue and white)

Are you sure you are reading the correct pins?
Are you sure your device even as an analog output?
That page 54 talks out a VDC on pin 4 of 9-16V. That certainly isn't a 10VDC analog output.
The only place in the whole manual that lists an analog output on on page 66, and that is under a category of "accessories". That sounds like an add-on option to me.

That connector is for RS-232 communication and it is just silly to talk about connecting it to a DAQ device.

Hi Oesen.
I found your product on Precisa's website, and from here you can download the manual.

According to the manual the RJ45 connector uses a RS232-interface (page 12), just like the previous post states. On page 54 you can see the specifications and pinout. As you can see, your weight needs to receive some remote commands and to be honest I can not find the command that returns the weight. To me, it seems like you only are able to adjust the settings of the weight from a remote device.
It does not make sense to connect a RS232 interface to an analog input. If you have a serial port on your computer, you can try to connect your weight to this port and use LabVIEW to communicate with it. This will require a 'RJ45 to DB9 female'-cable, which also is an accessories available to buy from Precisa but I think it would be easier to just make one yourself for this test purpose.
Another option for you, will be to buy the "Analog output, 350-8508"-accessory (page 56) from Precisa. If I understand it correct, this will output an analog output voltage based on the weight, but you might want to clarify this with Precisa before purchasing.
I hope this helps you.
