Reading Back the Value of a Digital Output

Solved!
Go to solution

Greetings,

I am trying to display the state of a boolean written to a DO. I tried to use the VI provided at the following link by NI as a starting point (https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA00Z000000kGDISA2&l=en-US). The readback in the VI provided seems to cycle through possible boolean states rather than reading what is written. I am using a simulated DAQ device (a simulated 9375) for the DO. Is this just a problem with simulated devices or does the VI provided by NI not work in the way it is stated?

Thanks,

Eron

That is just the nature of using a simulated device: all reads just cycle through the possible values (counting pattern).

I agree that we should have the ability to define the behavior of a simulated instrument. See also my comment here.
