Runtime engine installer says computer doesn't meet system requirements.

I'm running mac OS 10.4.11 on an iBook G4 (ppc).

I'm trying to install LV runtime 8.6.1 in order to use the editing utilities that were user-created with LV scripting.

I have LV 8.5 (with scripting installed).

 

"You cannot install Labview 8.6.1 Runtime Engine on this volume.  Make sure your system meets the requirements."

Are the system requirements the same as the LV 8.6.1 development environment?

Does LV 8.6.1 not run on ppc processors?

No.

And that does include the runtime engine?

The requirements for a runtime is the same as the development system. Not sure what you would be able to do with just the runtime anyway.
