SINEC H1.

I need the native protocol, utilities and documentation of Siemens Sinec H1. I have other protocols and utilities to exchange, such IBA file format utilites (labview write and read using IBA file formats) and GE 9030 and 9070 SRTP2 native protocol (fast comunications up 1024 words per PLC SCAN).

Is the IBA file format for ibaAnalyzer?  I believe Ethereal has a dissector for Sinec H1.

You mentioned GE 9030 and 9070 SRTP2 native protocol (fast comunications up 1024 words per PLC SCAN).

I am interested in a method for reading/writing registers over ethernet from these GE PLC's from a NI PAC such as Compact FieldPoint or CompactRIO.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi JimR007,

If either of these PLCs support modbus, you can use that in your Real-Time VI.  Otherwise, you will probably have a difficult time communicating with them without also going through a host PC, as OPC servers rely on COM technology that is not supported by the LabVIEW Real-Time operating system.

Sorry this is such a late response to this thread...

Unless there is a firmware upgrade, 9030 and 9070 GE PLCs do not support SRTP2 but they do support SRTP.  I think SRTP2 is for the new Rx7i and Rx3i PACs.  But getting GE to let you sign an NDA so you can get yours hands on the SRTP protocol is the real problem.  9030 and 9070 do support Modbus or Modbus TCP if you have the correct firmware and are using Proficy ME for development.
