Hi,
This is a request for all the users posting in the NI Discussion forum. Please save your VI for the previous version (atleast to 8.6) before posting because the people who knows your best solution might not have the latest version that becomes tough for them to solve.
So make it easier and get the solution faster....

Not sure what you mean by this. Are you saying you can't create snippets in LV2010?

When it comes to snippets I always roll my own. The next-best thing (IMHO) is the Code Capture Tool that Ton linked to. One main thing missing from LV and the CCT that I have added is the ability to create a snippet for a previous version. For example I created this in LV10. Add this ability to the CCT and it will be cooking with gas...

No. Am asking about the VI's posted not as snippet as attachements (eg: Read from RS232). Is it that much tough to add a feature to make LabVIEW Compatible for the latest version (Atleast from LV2009 compatible for LV2010). Then the need for Upconvert VI Requests ( Its really usefull thread. Kudos to smercurio_fc) will gradually decrease .

The Code Capture Tool 2.1.2 has the option to back-save the snippet in an earlier version.
Download it here (LAVA) or here (SourceForge).

Ton,
I noticed something odd with this version of the CCT. When I pick code capture tool from the menu, nothing shows up in the preview window unless I use the hand and drag on the window a little bit.

I heard that from other users as well, but I don't have that issue, so I am a bit blind guessing at what happens.
But to be clear what is the status of the 'FP and BD' capture settings?
When exactly does the preview arrives?
does it replicate?
What version of LabVIEW do you use?

LV2010
It does replicate.
I have selected some items on the BD.
FP is set for none
BD is set for selected items
Preview arrives when I click and hold on the preview window with the hand and drag it for a few pixes.
Other ways:
Have nothing selected on BD.
Both FP and BD come up set for none.
I set BD for all. Nothing appears.
Drag the hand for a few pixels and the BD preview appears
Have nothing selected
Both FP and BD come up set for none.
Set FP and BD for all. Nothing appears.
Drag the hand for a few pixels and both FP and BD appear in preview.
Have items on BD selected.
FP comes up for All, BD for selected. Nothing appears.
Pick Visible for FP. Some white and the whole FP appears in preview.
Pick Visible for BD. The dashed line goes away, as well as the objects showing up on FP. Just shows white and grey.
Drag the preview pane, and the BD and FP items then reappear in the preview.
(These are just some of many ways where the preview doesn't match the selections. And it takes a drag of the preview pane to get things looking right.)
The behaviors are similar in LV2009 SP1 as well.
