Solving error -52005

Dear all,

I use Labview2010 to access a Spartan3 Xilinx FPGA, and tried to give it a simple VHDL code with the IP integration node.

During compilation I got the error -52005, and found this solution:

http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/8A49034C699AA6FF862577D2007D9970

The problem is that when I open MAX, spot "Software", then "Add/remove software", then I end up with a list of NI softwares (look at the attached screenshot), as you can see, I can only change, repare or remove the programs, but I don´t see where I can add one.

Does anyone see where I got wrong ?

Thanks in advance,

regards

Hi Ksawery,

what driver is installed and what hardware is in use?

Have you tried to install a newer NI-RIO driver?

The KB you found is for cRIO devices on this you can install the Scan Engine

Additional have you tried to compile only a vi with a While loop inside?

best regards

Hello,

Thanks for your prompt answer, I have installed the following patches and drivers (each one requiring the next...):

1. LabVIEW 2011 SP1 (32-bit) German!!
2. (LabVIEW 2011 SP1 f1 32-bit Patch)
3. LabVIEW FPGA Module 2011 SP1    (need to rename the exe into a zip file. to extract)
4. NI Digital Electronics FPGA Board Driver Software 4.3
5. installing Microsoft USB Hotfix WindowsXP-KB969238-x86-DEU.exe

And I changed for LabView 2011 instead of 2010. I still don´t have the possibility to add a software using MAX, but I don´t get the Error -52005.

Instead I get the following when compiling & loading my VHDL code to the FPGA:

--------------------------------

Error Code -310611 in niFpgaOpenAndRun_DE FPGA Board.vi

Possible source:

NI-COBS: An internal software error has occurred

--------------------------------

I could not find any related past threads, and even Google itself remains still.

Do you have an idea ?

Regards,

Ks.

Hello,

We found out, a bit by chance: using the NI-License manager, we re-registered our product and the problems mentioned above disapeared.

Thanks a lot for your support !

Regards,

Ks.
