Sound Vibration ToolKit IEPE

Solved!
Go to solution

my client had a program written in LV 7.1.1 / S&V Toolkit 3.1 that works, but needing to add features, upgraded to LV 8.6.1 / S&V Assistant 7.0; and now the data is off. I have looked at the data from the accelerometer in MAX and with IEPE enabled I get the expected data and without IEPE enabled I get what the upgraded program returns. So I know what the problem is ...

On the block diagram I am using to enable IEPE excitation "DSA Device Detected: PCI-4461 [svx_DAQmx Popup for DSA.vi]" - but it isn't working, or I am doing something wrong, or need something additional.

Ideally we would like to not have this interactive, but it looks like making Interactive FALSE ignore all the input values (which doesn't make much sense) and trying it in interactive mode = TRUE and entering the info into the controls didn't seem to work either.

Anyone point me in the right direction?

thanx

Good Afternoon Lawrence,

You mentioned the S&V Toolkit and the Assistant.  Is your new program written in LabVIEW or did you use the S&V Assistant?  Have you seen this KnowledgeBase article?

How Do I Enable IEPE Excitation on My DSA Device in DAQmx?

The new program is written in LV 8.6.1 (to be honest I saw the S&V assistant in MAX and thought that was the new name for the toolkit - my error).

Anyway the knowledgebase article is what I needed, thanx
