Stupid or Smart Error Bar Plot in LV2010?

Solved!
Go to solution

A new feature since LV2009/LV2010 is error bar plot. But I have the following problems for this new feature and wondering if anyone can help me solve it:

1: I cannot directly copy error bar plot into ppt or word file.

2: I can export the error bar plot into an image file first, then import it into the ppt/word file, but a big problem is the plot legends are lost. The plot legends are critical information for a plot including multiple cureves. and I cannot find any way to solve it.

Appreciate it if anyone can give me some solutions how I can copy/import the error bar plots including the plot legends into a ppt/word file. Thanks

Hi,

When you right-click the plot, in the shortcut menu go to Export>Export Simplified Image, select "Export to clipboard" you can paste (Strg+V) the plot image including the scales into word, powerpoint or other software...

Unfortunatelly the plot legends will not be included as I said in my original post. 😞

You can use the Get Image method and save it to .png (or .gif or .jpg):

EDIT: Note that because of the way snippets work, the snippet included a control reference. You can simply create the method directly from the control by right-clicking and selecting Create -> Invoke Node -> Get Image.

Alex,

I'm still wondering about why the "default-functionality" doesn't work at your system.

Don't you see scales also when you open e new vi, place an error bar plot and just export the image to the clipboard?

Or does it happen with a certain plot?
