To further inform:
I have found that to have newly connect control or indicator show up on the vi's connector icon in the calling vi,
I need to make a few extra procedures.
This is the for the case where the vi already has spare connectors - despite that, after I have made the new connection to control/indicator selection, I have found if do a "fake" select new connector pattern and then save the vi, it eventually triggers LV to update the connector assignments for the copies of the vi that are already placed on
any calling vi diagram panel.
I am guessing the triggering part is the key to the problme... that the changes to having the connector pane always avaible there are cases where the LV software is not tirggering an update to propagate the changes to rest of the vi's
structure.
