I am trying to simulate a theoretical/engineering stress-strain curve for a tensile tester testing an ABS dogbone in LabView. I'm not sure where to start as we only have the initial length of the dogbone and the force that will be applied using a stepper motor. I'm honestly not even sure where to start.

Hi nannia,

AFAIK mechanical simulations are done with other (specialized) simulation tools, like Ansys…

I guess you know the math and the physics behind your simulation of mechanical parameters?
You heard of bulk modulus?

We re-evaluated our parameters and no longer need the simulation. We wouldn't have been able to given the theoretical givens we know. At least not with the tools we have available.
Thank you for helping!!
