Time out error using inst.llb vi (Agilent 2000 3000 X-Series Acquire Waveform Continuously) with a Agilent MSO-X 3054A

We are having an issue with a vi in the instrument library. It is (Agilent 2000 3000 X-Series Acquire Waveform Continuously). The problem is it works ok with our DSO-X 2002A scope with no issues. It don’t work with our MSO-X 3054A scope. See error below. Sometimes it works but most often it doesn’t and it locks up NI-VISA when it does fail. I’m connected to the instrument using USB.

Error -1073807339 occurred at VISA Read in Agilent 2000 3000 X-Series.lvlib:Wait for Acquisition Complete.vi->Agilent 2000 3000 X-Series.lvlib:Read Waveforms (Single).vi->Agilent 2000 3000 X-Series Acquire Waveform Continuously.vi

Possible reason(s):

VISA: (Hex 0xBFFF0015) Timeout expired before operation completed.

Thanks for the idea. Unfortunately I had no luck. I’m running NI-VISA 15.5. I added 10 seconds to my timeout and it still fails. The pit falls of using VI’s from the inst.lib sometime it works other time you spend more time troubleshooting.

I solved the problem. The scope was running an old version of software 2.20 curent is 2.4X.
