Hi Nikitha,

The problem is, moving the tdms files from local folder to network folder, when I first move and then defragment at the network folder, I would consume a lot of time defragmenting the tdms files on the network folder causing the extra processing time of the software.
Time and memory are considered majorly.
I didn't say you should move to a network folder!
Why not move to a local temporary folder, defragment and move then to your network folder?

when I tell that, I cannot make move to another location locally and then move to network target --> like I said Time consumption is higher than I expect
Moving locally doesn't need additional storage space on your local drive…
(You could even move inside the very same folder by providing a different filename.)

Hi Gred,
Like I mentioned, time is the constraint!
It is all interlinked, I need to achieve everything without missing out anything. 😛

Hi Nikitha,
you seem to have problems spelling my nickname correctly…

Moving a file inside the same folder (aka renaming) is a very quick file operation.

What is "it" and what is "interlinked"?
Why do you fear to "miss out anything" when implementing a 3-step algorithm?
You asked for a specific problem without mentioning/explaining your restrictions…

Hi Gerd,
This seems to be the possible solution after all the trials. Thanks 🙂
