Unknown License File Error

I was just running a long test while trying to debug another strange error (link- possibly related?) and I got another error- firs a small dialog box that said "Unknown License Error" and then this one (this has been running in a loop for hours, so nothing new is being called)...

Device Driver Error After License File Error.png

Anyone?

(FYI, I am running under my developer's software subscription license; Never seen this before.)

Hi Jed-Davidow,

What exactly is your testing doing? Are you using any hardware? If you go into NI License Manager, do you see anything in here that is showing up as having an unknown license?

As the error states, it is undefined so any description of the system and test setup will be of assistance. It appears to be attempting to open a device driver - this makes me think some sort of hardware is being used. Are you using ActiveX, accessing a DLL, or accessing anything else that may be considered a third-party object?

Does this error continue to occur every time? Did this error occur once? Does this error occur periodically?

My software is accessing third party hardware through a DLL.  It occurred only once, and that was when I was scrolling through a String indicator on the front panel.

I could send you the code...

Doh.  I just reclalled that the DLL is written to use a USB dongle.  It's on there, but maybe something went haywire for a sec with the USB.  I'll run again and see what happens if I pull it out.
