Updating Sub VI outputs

Solved!
Go to solution

I've changed a sub VI buy putting another output on the form of the sub VI but the problem is when I insert the sub VI into the block diagram of another VI the new output does not appear on the block for the sub VI.  Is there a way I can update the outputs of this subVI????

Thanks,

Matt.

Check Your connector pane to know that you added the additional input to the vi by selecting the Vi and press help.

No it doesn't say I've added an extra output.

Thanks,

you have to "wire" the subvi connector.

Do do this: right click on the icon in the front panel window and select "show connectors". right click again and choose a pattern. Then you click a free connector terminal and the front panel element you want linkted to that terminal.

I hope that helped.
