Using UNDO (ctrl-z) in Built applications

I don't think it accounts as a bug since the undo will not even do most of your data entry undo in the development system. You might get better responses by requesting this as a feature request on the NI Idea Exchange but make sure you do a search first, it is most likely written up there already and probably in several ways, so adding yet another new request will not help but only dilute the actual request and weaken the power of the other requests up there.

Please can you recognize this as a bug and make this feature availible in LabVIEW?

The best place to submit product suggestions for LabVIEW is the LabVIEW Idea Exchange. Ideas regarding undo have been posted there before, so please do a search to determine if the idea has already been posted, and if so, you can vote for it.

The Undo (Ctrl-z) menu option is not available in stand alone applications built in LabVIEW.

The LabVIEW help confirms this: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361G-01/lvdialog/application_item_tag s/

Look where it says: "Items followed by two asterisks (**) are available in stand-alone applications you build in LabVIEW."

Then look for Undo and Redo in the Edit menu and you will see that they are not followed by the (**).

I posted code that implements part of the Undo functionality here: http://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-14805

Also, it seems that the previous idea posted in the idea forum was removed from the idea forum, because it was determined as a bug. I couldn't find it directly in the Idea Exchange. And the "idea exchange" has been removed from the link once you get to the page (http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/CTRL-Z-undo-in-Built-Applications/td-p/1320511)...

So, I went ahead and posted the idea in the idea exchange again: http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW-Idea-Exchange/Make-Undo-Redo-menu-options-available-in-stand-alone/i...
