Solved!

I was able to open the file I uploaded in LabVIEW 10.0f2. Which version of LabVIEW 10 do you have?

By the way, you may want to review the Knowledge Base article on the Producer-Consumer architecture, which is what you seem to be trying to use.

Could one of your subVI's being causing the crash?

I was able to open the VI just fine in 10.0f2, but I had to tell it to ignore the half dozen or so missing subVI's.

If that's what's really causing the crash, then yes, it would help.

You may also wish to update your LabVIEW, since there has been a patch released for LabVIEW 10.

Same here.  I also went back to the originally posted VI, and had no problems opening that either in 10.0f2.
