The OP was talking about an emulation, so I assumed that there is no real hardware involved (even though the word has many meanings...). If these are real lights, more hardware and code is definitely needed. 😉

 

Still, we can just disallow closing of the window and trigger shutdown code from the front panel.

I should have known.  In that example the hardware is the imaginary component! LOL (certainly explains all those unnecessary orange wires and two timing functions where a single stall data flow would do)
