if your real-time target can't be added to your LabVIEW project, it is likely that the required software has not been insatalled on your PXI-system.
First of all make sure that the (latest) NI-RIO driver (all drivers can be found here) as well as the LabVIEW-RT module is installed on your development-PC. After that you can install the software onto the PXI system using the MAX (Measurement & Automation Explorer) tool (see also this and this tutorial).
