Web Services and HTTP headers

Solved!

Hello all,

I am attempting to develop an application that streams data to a web page from a distributed system.  Right now, I am just trying to figure this all out, but I have hit a road block.  I have configured my VI of interest for streaming:

use headers.png

But, when I attempt to run this VI

test_ws.png

I get the error −67305: Function not available for service VIs configured for headerless mode. Can anybody provide some guidance as to why this error might be thrown?

Cheers, m

I found this forum post with someone who solved a similar issue with the same error code. http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Web-service-error-67305/td-p/2917312

Does this help you?

Haha....Thanks, Riccardo.  I was going to close this as I found this to be the issue also.  Can anyone at NI explain why this is the case?  Is this supposed to be the way this operates?  Or should we file a CAR for this behavior?  If it is the expected behavior, then the checkbox "Buffered" ought to be dumped and the "Header" checkbox needs to set both of these values.

By the way, I am using LV 2014 and I still see this behavior.

Cheers, Matt

I don't know about that, but I'll take a look into this further and see if a CAR should be filed.

Hi Matt,

I've been doing a bit more research and there seems to be a CAR filed for this.
