We have an old executable that was written in LabVIEW 7.1 and uses Serial port communication. We are licensed with LabVIEW 2010, however our company policy requies a lot of paperwork if we have to recompile.
The executable program has worked fine for years. The computer it was running on had to be replaced. Whatever software was include in the "Installer" CD is insufficient and now there is no communication with the serial device. I'm guessing that the problem would be VISA Runtime ommission.
Does anyone know what version of VISA Runtime is required for executables complied in LabVIEW 7.1? Is that some "Legacy" stuff?
Thanks in advace for any assistance.
Glen

Aside: I ask: does anybody actually try to do a search anymore? This has to be the fourth question I've seen this morning that could have been easily answered if a simple search had been done prior to posting.

Sorry, I wasn't yelling at you - I was just venting my frustration. Didn't mean to take it out on you.
