Where can I find the drivers (LV 2024) ?

I have a pc where some months ago I downloaded and installed Labview 2024 Q1 without the drivers.

But now I need to use the pc to test some hardware and make it work.

Should I uninstall Labview and reinstall it using the 38 GB package (LV+drivers) ore there is a package with just the drivers?

I rememeber with very old versions of LV it was possible to do that, but with the newest ones I don't know.

[At present myLavbiew palettes about hardware stuff are empty too.].

Hi

The short answer is that most Drivers ( and Toolkits and Modules ) are now written for the Addon concept.

But using those only works if the LabVIEW version is new-enough. This makes stating what works with what tricky in the transition period since 2022 where the first Addon compliant components were introduced.

If the 38GB package includes LabVIEW 2024 Q1 ( or newer ) then just go ahead and install LabVIEW and the drivers you need. The installer is clever enough to ignore updating LabVIEW if it is the same version, but also update LabVIEW if it version to install is newer than the installed one.

I suggest you read the thread :  Toolkits that are Compatible with LabVIEW 2024 Q3 64-Bit

In there is a reference to a list made by NI, stating the required version of LabVIEW to support specific Addon compatible component versions.

Regards

And then this advice. Avoid installing more than one LabVIEW year version on a partition if you also install any kind of Driver, Toolkit or Module. Uninstalling or repairing anything in a multi versions LabVIEW installation is troublesome.
