I am not sure what the cause of the behavior is, however I have a few questions that may help point you to an answer. Are you getting an error and have you searched the web site on that error number? Do you have a firewall? If so is the firewall blocking the port that you are trying to connect though? Or is teh firewall blocking LabVIEW in general? Does this happen on multiple computers? When you say the command prompt works, do you just mean a ping works?
