Wonderware and OPC; reading arrays ?

I have a contact on a project that says Wonderware is not able to read

OPC data (Shared Variables) from LabVIEW in the form of arrays of double, all data must be single values.

Can anybody confirm this statement, or tell me otherwise ? I find it strange that

this big software platform in the year of 2015 cannot read arrays of OPC data. :mansurprised:

Hi Martin,

why do you ask this in a LabVIEW forum?

You should ask SchneiderElectric aka Invensys!

GerdW

Because I am generating the data with my LabVIEW program, because Schneider has not been very helpful so far, and I was hoping somebody out there had also beeing working towards the same software . Thats why we have these forums, you see.

Hi Martin,

and in which way can LabVIEW help when "Wonderware is not able to read OPC data (Shared Variables) from LabVIEW in the form of arrays of double" as you wrote?

That sounds like a problem of Wonderware - and you should ask the support for Wonderware…

Best regards,
GerdW

Wonderware can absolutely read shared variables of any data type. It's been a little while since I actually configured it myself, but I believe the only "issue" is the names don't exactly match between Labview and Wonderware. IE, a double in Labview is called a float in Wonderware
