Hello,

I just installed Labview 2015 + FPGA Module on my computer with an old version 8.6 of Labview.

When I compile a FPGA project on labview 2015 I got this message error "An error occured while communicating with the compile server" and this warning "Xilinx Compilation tools not installed".

I can assure you that my 2015 Server lunches perfectly and I did install everything in the correct way. I assure that they is a conflict between labview 8.6 and 2015 that's why uninstalled the older one.

The problem is my build configuration is set to Xilinx 10.1 (which should be 14.7) and there is no way to change it.

After looking everywhere I have found that Labview is looking for the best compilation tools so maybe this is not the problem

Is there something that I missed?

Can you verify Xilinx Tools version installed on your PC ?

One method to verify what versions of the Xilinx compilation tools are installed on your system is:

1. Open "National Instruments Software" in the Add/Remove Programs window
2. Check if there are any entries for "NI LabVIEW FPGA Xilinx XX.X Tools"

If Xilinx Compilation Tools for ISE 14.7 is here you can try a repair.

Hi,

I have found the source of the problem. The FPGA i used was based on a Virtex II matrix which is not compatible with this version of the compilation tools.
