Hi, Mark,
Need your help with Zebra again.
We have a Zebra Gx420t, the little one, easy to carry everywhere. We use USB to communicate with it. Regularly, the printer is recognized as a USB printing device. When I install the driver generated from LabVIEW, it is re-configured as a NI-VISA printing device. Here comes our problem. After that, the windows system cannot find this printer any longer, it is alwsays listed as 'offline'. Only the labview program can print now, then other people become unhappy.
How did you solve this issue? Is it a solvable issue? Thanks much.

<Set Mode "Tounge-in-cheek"==VITRUE>
Teach them LabVIEW- They'll be happier

I tried the code, but returned an error, saying 'Invalid Reference'. Now what?

You are very welcome.
I am in the process of getting management approval to release our LabVIEW USB driver we use to the community. Our driver does not use VISA and will work with the printer if other drivers are installed, I will update the forums when I get approval.

Mark,
Is this the solution you mentioned the other day?

Yes. This is the driver we use internally within all of our LabVIEW code now for USB communications. It is specific to Zebra printers however it is extremely easy to use and does not conflict with any other driver that may be installed.

Hopefully you will get the approval to release it soon.

I'm still working on this. You know how things can move very slowly once legal gets involved. The good news is that I am not getting any resistance to the request to publish this code.
