What do you mean by "compatible". An accelerometer (even the one you mention) simple generates a voltage differential as a function of acceleration, so just about any of the DAQ devices will work. The real issue is whether you need software or hardware-based timing for your voltage acquisition, and this will affect which DAQ device to get. How often do you need to be reading the voltages? What is your sampling rate? What are you doing with the values? These affect which DAQ device to get more than the actual accelerometer. I would suggest starting here: Getting Started with NI-DAQmx: Main Page

Details, details... Please take the time to determine what you need based on the questions I asked, as well as what's discussed in the article I linked to. Then, come back and ask a more specific question.

Hey i was tryin to save the data ie a waveform from the daq into a spreadsheet using labview but since its in a loop it keeps asking for the file name.Is there any way to give the file name before running the program or somethin... Could u please help...

That question has been asked many times. Did you try a search? You need to use a shift register (or a Feedback Node for newer versions of LabVIEW) to store the name of the file.

You can also provide a control on the front panel.

Hello preethip,

Do you get succeed with NI USB 6008 to read the data from ADXL330 accelerometer. I would like to use the same acelerometer for my pump control system. How you connect the sensor outputs to DAQ. I would like to read data continously from sensor.

Hi

We were successful in getting the data from the accelerometer. You can connect the output from the sensor to the ports of the DAQ. Connect according to the connection diagram which you wil get from the Labview file.

Hi, I would like to make a impact test using the ADXL33x accelerometer with NI 6008, to read and transmite to the computer. My intention is to see what the frequency response is that the impact cause. My question are:

1 - Will the NI 6008 read in this short time? Is it in high quality? or depends of the accelerometer? (I think it is about 0-1500 milliseconds)

2 - Is it necessary an amplifier in the accelerometer to take the better results? Or without this is enough?

Thanks.
