analog output triggers counter

Could we please get an example of an analog waveform output triggering a counter? 

We are in labview 8 using a daq 6251.

It is not possible to directly trigger off of an analog output.  So, the waveform output will have to be fed back into the APFI0 line on the card.  Then you can trigger off of that.  In the Example Finder, there is an example for continuous analog input with an analog start trigger(Cont Acq&Graph Voltage-Int Clk-Analog Start.vi), which can easily be modified to trigger a counter rather than an analog input.
