My Windows 11 device manager does not seem to have a driver for cDAQ-9178. I can plug in a USB-6009 to my laptop and it is recognized and all works fine. I can plug the cDAQ-9178 into another Windows 11 machine and it works fine. Does a specific driver exist for the cDAQ-9178 chassis? If so where would I find it?
Thanks in advance.

You need the NI-DAQmx driver. Do you have any c-series module installed in 9178?

Yes, I have NI-9205, NI-9403, NI-9476.

If you have a Win 11 compatible DAQmx driver installed, that is all you need to get any NI DAQ device working (if supported by the driver version).

Thanks. I will have a look at that.

I haven't been able to find anything in https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA00Z000000P7OaSAK&l=en-US that helped. I may have to do a complete NI software deletion and reinstall. My IT guy got the individual driver for cDAQ-9178 installed and the device manger would see the cDAQ-9178 but MAX was clueless that the chassis was attached.

I tried installing an older version of DAQmx (21). Now I get a message in my device manager when I plug in my cDAQ 9178 chassis: "PL2303TA DO NOT SUPPORT WINDOWS 11 OR LATER, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SUPPLIER." The cDAQ 9178 chassis still works in another computer with the same WINDOWS 11 PRO OS.
More suggestions please.

If you have NI-MAX installed on both computers, the one that works and the one that doesn't work, open the software tab of MAX and take screenshots of the installed software. Post those screenshots here. DAQmx software should be all you need to use your equipment. You may have a corrupted installation; you can try to repair it or remove everything and install.

The bottom picture in the previous post is the working computer as far as the chassis goes.
