Hi All,
I am trying to control a Oriental Motor through LabVIEW using a cRIO over RS-485.
cRIO: cRio-9048
Comms: RS-485
Motor driver: Oriental Motor RKS5D507-CD
Motor: PKE566MC
The driver uses RS-485 2 wire connection. I have made the necessary changes as per https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA03q000000YGwxCAG&l=nl-NL.
I am using the example "RS-485 Transceiver Control.vi" from the LabVIEW help resourses.
I already have operational data on the driver.
When sending the start command as stated in the manual: "01 06 00 7D 00 08 18 14". I get a timeout message:
And from the driver side I get this error:
Now I have checked the connection.
I have no idea on how to get messages through to the driver.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance

Just to make sure you don't make a mistake in the wiring (which I did), are you using RJ50 or RJ45 on the RS-422 port? A RJ45 connector will fit into the RJ50 port but won't have the connection.
