Are the examples from one book in particular?

Maybe if you described your problem and posted your code, we could provide some advice on how to proceed and general comments on the code.  That way you'd learn more than simply getting the answer ready-made for you.

Materials for the student edition are available here. If you look further down the page, there is a link to version 7.0 VIs.
