cfp-2020 reset

Good morning, evening, afternoon all!

Still working with the old CFP-2020 unit, with 2 do-410's and 2 TC-120s.

At the moment I'm getting a 'hang' in the startup, for want of a better phrase, whereby the TC units don't show the ready LEDs, only the power, and the MAX software shows the CFP as disconnected.

I've tried the reset from MAX, when the IP came up as 0.0.0.0 (the real IP is diffrent, but it tends to show the old 0.0.0.0 when F5 is pressed), and the red LEDs on the TC's all light up, but still no 'ready'.

I'm sure its something to do with the reset button on the module itself.  Any ideas anyone how I can get it from this disconnected state?

There is an option for 'format disk' but I really don't want to thnk about that at the moment! 🙂

Hope you good folks can help.

what's the LED flash pattern at startup?

Here was my horror story with cFP-2020 and it may give you some idea. The problem I had was the lost diskspace. In my application I had a case to delete and recreate (not just overrite) several files once their sizes were over a limit. After several weeks, the controller wouldn't boot into regular mode (safe mode was fine) because somehow the RT OS did not release the diskspace held when it deleted the files so the diskspace eventually ran out. Once I reformated the disk and removed the code that delete and create file case, everyhting was fine since.

The LED pattern was a constant flashing.

However, as I tend to be a hoarder, he heh and back up any file I see, I overwrote the NI-RT file to the ftp:// on the 2020 and all seems to be OK now - thank goodness.
