combo box selection and updates

Solved!
Go to solution

Got attached VI working only to find that small button on right of combo box is difficult to select on touch screen.

Need to enlarge small button or better yet replace with functionality similar to RING.

RING allows entire box to act as button on touch screen.

Change to RING, requires re-write of working code, bad........so looking for suggestions.

This one is actually really easy all you have to do is right click on the control and goto the advanced slection then customize you can resize the control there. I have attached a resized version of your control just import it and you should be all set.

Right click on the control and select Advanced>Customize. You can make the button any size you want. There's awhiole section in the on-line help called 'custom controls'. If there is something there that you do not understand, post back here or search the board.

Thank you for 8.6 version control.

It appears that resolves my problem.

I do not seem to be able to access this "advanced control customization" feature in my version of LabView.

Is this a new, Version 9 only feature??

no I have been making custom controls since 8.0 and maybe before that.

You need to right click on the control and the following window should come up.

Right Click on Control.png

Then the customize window comes up with that control. You need to make the changes that you want and save the control with a new name. If you save it as a typ def then when you change it the control updates automatically.
