Then, why is this NI device drivers DVD that comes along with labVIEW 8.6
For DAQ cards, serial interface, GPIB interface, motion controllers, ... ...
When you wrote "Do I've to install drivers for spectrum analyser and signal generator." some posts ago, I supposed you ment some kind of drivers (read VI's) that came with the HP instruments, not with the NI GPIB-USB cable! That one you have to install!!!!!
But please, please can you answer the question regarding tests with the MAX!
If you can confirm that you are able to communicate with both instruments through the MAX, you're need nothing more to start programming. Unless you want to use those "pre-made" vi's, but let me tell you this:
Some years ago I had to communicate with a Keithley 2700 instrument.
Keithley also provided "LV drivers" for that instrument, in fact that were a lot of vi's to do some small well defined tasks with the 2700.
I encounter a problem that I had to use those vi's in an well defined order to get my, more complex, task to be well initialized.
In the final application I didn't use any of those vi's but send one large command string to the instrument.
So like I laready said you don't explicit need them but they can assist you with some more or less basic tasks.
Hope this helped you out!

That CD is for the NI hardware like your USB/GPIB unit. You will find labview software instruments "drivers" here
http://search.ni.com/nisearch/app/main/p/ap/tech/lang/en/pg/1/sn/catnav:id,ssnav:dzn
Just search for your instruments.

Don't you get enough information in your original thread you started? Please don't same topic in multiple threads.
