driver for RF STEP ATTENUATOR 0 - 139 dB / 0 - 2,7 GHz / 50 Ohm

I am looking for a driver / LabVIEW-software for
ROHDE& SCHWARZ RF STEP ATTENUATOR 0 - 139 dB / 0 - 2,7 GHz / 50 Ohm - this is an old
Instrument with GPIB - Interface. Up to now I don't have a manual - I would write my own driver.......
- does anyone have a manual or a hint about this step attenuator?
There are no drivers available from R&S and NatInst.

Thank you
Werner

meddino,

There is an instrument driver for the Rohde & Schwarz RSP for use with LabWindows/CVI.  You can find it on the instrument driver network.

Rohde & Schwarz RSP

meddino,

You can use the "LabVIEW Interface Generator for LabWindows/CVI Instrument Drivers".  This will essentially create a set of VI’s that will use the “Call Library Function Node” to call functions from a DLL.

This way you can convert instrument drivers written in C for use in LabVIEW.  Here is the link to the Interface Generator download page.  Also, make sure to download the readme file for instructions on how to use the Interface Generator.

One thing it will ask you for is a Shared Library (DLL) for the instrument driver, which is not included in the RSP instrument driver download.  I have attached a modified instrument driver for the RSP that does include a DLL to use with the Interface Generator.
