embedded robotics application

Hi:

I spent some effort trying to do this

its possible in compact rio

file:///G:/labview%20web%20page%20ref/Create%20an%20Embedded%20State%20Machine%20-%20National%20Instruments.htm

and the on board instruction hint that its possible  sbrio 3692,

but when I go through the implimentation process of trying to place VI in similar places in the robotics mod as they did in the rio tutorial it doesn't happen.

So I tend to come to the conclusion that its not possible unless someone can come up with step by step instructions for labview 2014 robotics.

Any comments?

Thanks for all efforts

Having the path to a file on your hard drive doesn't do us much good. What is it that you are trying to do? If you are wanting to build a state machine (as the file title implies) that is just a LV program like any other. You of course need to worry about resource utilization, but there isn't anything fundamentally different.

the embedded application such that when I turn the robotics kit 2.0 power off and back on again or press the reset button the bot will start from the beginning.

Currently, in the robotics module/project the VI will get the bot going but once the power is off the VI will have to run again with the cable attached.

thanks for response.

You need to build a real-time application, set it as the startup application, and deploy it to the sbRIO. There are instructions to do this in the Getting Started with the LabVIEW Robotics Module documenthttp://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/375286c.pdf (link is to the 2012 version but it's the same for any recent version)
