Did you mean:

finding baud rate from unknown instrument details

That's meaningless information. The instrument should have a label that says who makes it. If you don't know this basic information, how do you even know what it's used for?

If you don't know who makes it and you don't have a manual, how can you possibly know that it is part of your project and that it is costly. Find someone who actually knows something about this instrument and post back. You aren't providing any useful information at all.

Why are you keeping the make, model number, and what this instrument is supposed to do a deeply guarded secret? Smiley Frustrated

WELL, then what is the instrument?   If you want to talk to it SOMEONE is going to need to read the manual!  Even if it has not been integrated before with LabVIEW (Unlikekly) We cannot help untill you tell us what the device is!

<I Know that sounds a bit "Grumpy" but, give us the details to help you>

I said that.  In a hope that you would provide other details because it is impossible! (well, improbable)

Model and MFG of the device (and a link to the manual but, we Google good) can help you!

a *.jpg does not help  What is that thing?  There is a "Boilerplate" on the back.
