Hello,everyone.
i would like to have an idea about Gas detector such as LPG gas detector. what is the main parts to design it?
any one show me idea or basic circuit diagram?
thanks for any one contribute to help me.

You need to be more specific. Are you trying to detect the presence of a particular gas mixed with ambient air? What is the range of concentrations? What are the pressure and temperature ranges? What other kinds of gases might be present? How are you sampling the gas? How fast do you want the results? What kind of accuracy and resolution do you want? Where and how will the device be used - laboratory, industrial plant, in a vehicle traveling down a highway,...? What research have you done into the available detector types?

sir,
my idea is to make LPG detector.i want to locate it in the kitchen.i want it to detect by display the amount of LPG gas leakage in PPM(part per million). in the same way i want such visual light comes ON when the detector start to detect .i need it for home propose only inside the kititchen.
i prefer to use it with in 15 to 500 PPM if there is LPG Sensor detect in this range.

Have you tried a search for flammable gas detectors? Look at this for some basic information.
Whether you are building one for yourself or going into business, please make sure that you consider liability, false positive and false negative alarms.

this is such an example of schematic diagram for LPG detector.in here is using Mobile modem to send signal. i just need it simple. can this digram developed ?

This is a LabVIEW Forum. So far you have not asked any question about LabVIEW. First you asked about a gas detector. Now you are asking about a circuit which is quite generic and which does not have any information about the detector except a circle marked sensor.
We try to be helpful on this forum, even for off-topic questions occasionally. However, you need to show that you have some idea of what you are doing or move to a do-it-yourself electronics board.

Here is a project from Cornell University that used various sensors and calculations to determine PPM for gasses:

Hi i search that the best is Gas Transmitter designed because it easy to detect the concentration of combustible and gas using high quality air-sensitive component and with advanced technology. It gives a local LED and the sensor could be used to detect different combustible gas, it is with low cost and suitable for different application.
i found this link about Gas Detection i think it really useful.

Phillip, I'll have to forward that link to my daughter, she just graduated from Cornell this spring! Go Big Red!! Wish I had thought of something like that for my Senior Design Project when I was at Syracuse University.
