how to continue working on a already saved project?

What a "useful" feature!  I sure hope the PC version of LabVIEW is missing this one ...

It was on the PC version (don't know about the Mac).  I think it's gone (but I'm not sure).  Maybe the OP is using a version of LV that has it, and hit the magic combo by mistake.
