installing scc68 as a new daq device

In previous versions of NI max I was able to go into devices and interfaces and set up a new DAQ device and then choose from a list. This feature does not seem to exist any more and I am asking is there a way around this problem. I wanted to setup an SCC68 as a new device and then set up relays as an accessory to the device. If anybody can advice I would appreciate.

Have you your hardware connected to the computer? Can NI-MAX see the device? It doesn't seem that you can configure non-existing devices in NI-MAX anymore. The times of non-plug-and-pray hardware are definitely over!

The SCC68 is just a terminal block, so MAX won't find it.

That is of course true. But it seems the OP tried to configure a DAQ card and then tried to configure the SCC-68, if I read the message correctly.

I did try in NI-Max 20.5 and there you can NOT configure a DAQ card. It must be present in the system and then NI-MAX can detect it (if DAQmx is installed) and once you have one of the S, M or X series DAQ cards present in the NI-MAX overview you can configure accessories in it such as the SCC-68.
