I have recently bought a Lumonics JK701H  , A yag laser old one, later i read on net that this is a obsolete technology, but still many seller are selling same on very high cost. 

Can some one advice where  These YAG lasers are still used and reason.

This device has been built for Westinghouse (american nuclear company) to manufacture nuclear fuel assemblies.

This is weird you are asking what your hardware is doing when it seems to cost aroud  50 k$...
