mathscript 2010 & Spartan E

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi guys!

Me and two more friends, are working in a coursework project for school using Labview + Spartan 3E starter board + Matlab

and we have to present it until august 21.

We have Labview 2010 and the Spartan 3E starter board driver but we don't have the Mathscript toolkit for this version of labview

I tried to download the 30 days evaluation version from the Mathscript website but it is for labview 2011 and we don't have labview 2011, and there is no Spartan 3E XUP board driver for labview 2011.

Someone here knows where can I download the 30 days evaluation version of Mathscritpt  for labview 2010? We need this so bad =(

Thanks

Best Regards

How about this link?  http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/207268

If find it interesting that you say what you've found is only an evaluation version for LabVIEW 2011 considering it isn't released yet.  It should be happening anytime, though.  In recent history, the release of the new LabVIEW version has coincided with NI Week which is next week.

I already check that link, but there is no option to download as evaluation version fow labview 2010

There is only one option to download the eval version for labview 2011 =( !

What can I do? Do you know where can I get the 30 days evaluation version for labview 2010?

You're right.  I hadn't drilled down through all the button clicks to get there.  Only by seeing the LV2011 in the file name.  Perhaps it was just released in prepration for NI week.

Someone from NI might know where to get a copy of the 2010 evaluation for Mathscript.  Or else, you could download LV2011 and mathscript, both as evaluation and work in that.  Just make sure you back save your VI's to LV 2010 before it runs out.  But you'd have to stop using the Mathscript since your 2010 won't have it, but even if it did it would have run out in 30 days anyway preventing further use.

OF course matlab is not exactly the same as mathscript.

Since you are students, you should probably be using the LabVIEW student edition, which includes mathscript.

I agree, the NI site is currently a bit of a mess because everything is getting switched around and ready for the LabVIEW 2011 Lauch at NI week. Hopefully, it will normalize in a few days.

You really should be able to do everything with plain LabVIEW (no mathscript). Why do you think you need mathscript at all?

Well I need Matschrit, because of my teacher

My teacher is a kind of...mmm well, you know how the teachers are

She said..."O'right guys you have to make a project using the SPARTAN 3e fpga board with labview and

the Mathscripth module ,you can download a eval version from NI website and you have until August 20th"

Then I searched in the NI website and there was not eval version of mathscripth for labview 2010 and well

you know the rest of the history
