multiple line subdiagram label bug?

Solved!
Go to solution

Subdiagram label doesn't shrink back when deleting a line. Am I doing it wrong or is this a bug?

I just updated to Labview 2013SP1

Yes, looks like a bug..... maybe.

Of Course you can simply grab the handle in the middle of the lower edge of the subdiagram label and resize it back to where you want it. 😄

My sense is that this is probibly intended behavior since they just changed the "size to text" option in string constants to behave similarly: it will make the constant larger, but not make it smaller of you delete characters.

I don't see that with string constants...

If it resizes if I add lines, it should also resize if I remove lines (Same as with free diagram comments and string constants).

As I said, you can always manually resize it back, so it is not a showstopper. 😉

In terms of the sting constant thing, I forgot its string constants in an array that will size larger, but not smaller. Which if you think about it would be not unlike the situation of labels in a case structure.

If you grow larger, no harm done to the other cases,. But if it autoshrank, you could hide stuff...

Didn't saw that handle...

Then it is not a big problem.
