Solved!
Go to solution

Hi all,

I have just tried to use newly released myRIO tookit 2021 work with LabVIEW2021SP1, I can't get them work together.

from NI-Max, it looks everything fine(figure1), but when I try to connect and config the myRIO, it returen error read "Ensure that the LabVIEW myRIO Toolkit is properly installed on your computer and try again."(figure2)figure2figure2figure1figure1

I did reinstall the myRIO tookit, and even reinstalled my Windows 10, but it still seem.

would anyone can help on this?

NI MyRIO 18.0 on the target with CompactRIO 22.5 on the host is pretty surely not gonna work. And the latest version supporting the myRIO was at least until recently NI CompactRIO 19.5 I believe. There was no support for the myRIO for LabVIEW 2020 and 2021 although there were some people who seemed to be able to upgrade an existing LabVIEW 2019 installation with myRIO support to 2020 but not 2021 AFAIK.

The latest CompactRIO 2022Q3 download seems to have been put together with hot needles and in a bit of a hurry. It contains very limited information about what is fully supported and what is not supported at all and has some ambiguous information in the associated readme files. It seems to not support cRIO for LabVIEW 64-bit for instance despite not stating so explicitly, making people believe it should be possible since it mentions such support for FlexRIO. I don't see any mention of support for myRIO in there, making me assume it is not present but it is not clear. The compatibility chart they post online is in several ways misleading and incomplete.

I checked the LabVIEW 2021 myRIO Toolkit Readme

it reads that LV2021SP1 32bit will be supported, but seems not.

do you know where I can get latest myRIO firmware?
