nismECATAdapter.dll Not Found Error - cRIO 9082 RT

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello,

I am deploying to a cRIO 9082 Realtime system. During the startup, the console outputs the above error, but I can't find anything referencing this dll online. It's like it doesn't exist. My best guess is that it's an NI EtherCAT Adapter? Here is the complete startup Console output:

Hopefully someone out there has seen this dll before?

Thanks,

Looks like you need to install the EtherCAT driver onto the cRIO and/or your system.  Here's a link to EtherCAT driver for Windows: NI-Industrial Communications for EtherCAT 14.0 - Windows

Well I'll be damned. I would have thought one of the 50 searches I did would have come up with that. Partly I guess I wasn't sure exactly what I was looking for.

Thank you! Hopefully this topic will show up if others need to find that library.

Cheers

This is in the SoftMotion known issues list (although the error needs to be updated). You can ignore the error if you aren't using an EtherCAT device.

Thanks,
