no daqmx vis in labview 2014 64 bit

Solved!

Hi,

I have LabVIEW 2014 SP1 32bit and daqmx 14.0 installed on my Win 64 bit PC. Today I installed LV 2014 64 bit on my PC and I don't see any DaqMX vis under the measurement I/O section. And when I open my project compiled in LV 2014 32 bit then the it starts looking for DaqMX vis and I point it to "C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2014\vi.lib\DAQmx" but the daqmx vis are broken.

When I click on the broken run button, the error list shows 2 errors:

1) VI failed to compule

2) External component or driver missing

It seems like I need to install some special drivers for daqmx, so I downloaded daqmx 14.5 from ni website and during installation when it asks for the the path it was default to "C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\" but I changed it to "C:\Program File\National Instruments\" and the installer gave an error message that I cannot install 32 bit files in 64 bit folder.

How do I resolve this error?

Thanks,

Ritesh

Hi,

you have to install DAQmx after you installed LabVIEW!

So should I just uninstall daqmx from my PC and re-install it again. or do I have to do uninstall labview and daqmx both and then install labview and daqmx?

Just reinstall DAQmx.  It will only install the parts it needs to, in this case it should just be the LabVIEW support.
